Hannah Maple is a distinguished Consultant Transplant and Dialysis Access Surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London. Recognized as the city’s first clinical lecturer in transplant and general surgery, she is a leading authority on the psychosocial aspects of organ transplantation and altruistic kidney donation. As past-chair of the ELPAT section of the European Society for Organ Transplantation, her pioneering research focuses on health psychology and the mind-body connection. Maple actively is developing innovative psychological prehabilitation frameworks to minimise patient stress, optimise physical surgical outcomes, and elevate holistic patient care
